Our Veterinary team use their scientific background to provide technical expertise and education to our customers, sales and marketing teams. With a deep knowledge of pharmacology and animal health we engage scientific exchange with external experts and industry leaders ensuring the scientific value of our animal health portfolio is understood.
We are currently recruiting for a 12 month fixed-term contract for a Companion Animal Vet Advisor, covering the North of England.
Reporting to the Companion Animal Technical Lead, this role is responsible for providing specialist veterinary expertise on all aspects of the Company’s companion animal products.
This role is field based, but will require a significant amount of time to be spent off territory – including but not limited to attendance at sales meetings, Head Office and other activities.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Team Support to add value to veterinary customers
- Deliver comprehensive in-house technical training at various levels and time points to ensure that all staff that require it are correctly trained on the small animal products and markets
- Engage and drive account plans for territory
- Working closely with allocated Account Managers, actively engage and drive account plans for the territory. Support the sales/key accounts team and identify and develop technical opportunities for adding value to our offering to our partnership with these practices to deliver on sales targets
- Manage technical enquiries for region
- Actively support the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and his/her teams by being a key point of contact for complex technical queries and pharmacovigilance management. Be responsible for our customer’s perception of the technical team as the experts in the market areas in which we participate To service any small animal technical queries or complaints in order that the Company may provide a high quality, professional veterinary sales support for its products.
- Develop and maintain sales team technical knowledge
- Identify ongoing technical training needs of the allocated sales team and feedback relevant technical & marketing intelligence
- Be responsible for remaining compliant with the NOAH code as well as pharmacovigilance requirements.
- Inform and develop key opinion leader (KOLs) plans in universities, private and corporate practices and other institutions
- Allowing identification and development of opportunities for beneficial co-operation Feedback to the technical team on local KOL activity Develop and drive national KOL plans for allocated brand responsibilities.
- Provide a Company technical representation at relevant meetings, congresses and exhibitions.
- Be the UK Technical expertise for an allocated Brand / disease area /projects as assigned by the Technical Lead.
- Meaningful technical input to allocated brand team including engagement within cross functional product team meetings to aid facilitation of a cohesive approach to the development, marketing and sale of new and existing AH products and services.
- Identify relevant areas from brand / disease responsibility to train the wider technical (and sales) team and deliver this in a timely manner ensuring effective dissemination of technical expertise.
- Hold responsibility for the technical accuracy, NOAH compliance and initial sign off of marketing campaigns and materials for allocated Brands.
Qualifications
- A UK-recognised veterinary degree and MRCVS
- Minimum 3 years of working within UK Companion Animal First Opinion Practice
- The ability to communicate technical training in a relevant, effective and engaging format to varied audience members
- Outstanding communication skills - verbal and written – fluency in English a requirement.
- Good time management, project management and organisational skills
- Ability to brief and manage the relationship with external stakeholders and influencers
