Job Description

The Curriculum Development Lead, Learning & Development works with the Integrated Process Teams (IPTs), Centers of Excellence (COEs), and Learning Team to design, facilitate, implement, and optimize learning programs and initiatives. The team curriculum development team is accountable for tracking, implementation, and execution of training across the site. The team lead will be accountable for facilitating trainee development in adherence with regulatory regulations and bargaining unit contracts and promote new products/processes by developing and designing training programs and curricula based on Adult Learning Theory.
Key tasks
Manage the Curricula Development Team Promotes training initiatives across the site by facilitating trainee needs in conjunction with regulatory regulations and the bargaining unit contracts
Assists IPT/COE Leads in identifying learning solutions, process specific training, and systems for sponsoring regulatory audits
Tracking and maintaining site training metrics for use by IPT/COE management and the Senior management Team
Manages the Site Annual Training Health Assessment
Primary L&D contact for new products/processes by sponsoring Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop new training programs and curricula
Conducts continual needs assessments, including the Learning Needs exploration for new and existing processes across the site
Partners with Global L&D and external stakeholders to develop, schedule, and conduct training
Promotes the Learning Management System (LMS) to maintain training records in an inspection ready status
The successful candidate would be described as someone who “can take the ball and run with it.”
Education:
Bachelor of Science or Arts degree (Biology, Chemistry, Business, or equivalent) or bachelor’s degree with equivalent working knowledge or equivalent military past.
Knowledge and Skills
Advanced skill in collaborating, influencing others, and building relationships
Honorable and strong verbal communication skills, technical writing skills, and facilitation skills | Appropriately emphatic in speaking up tactfully and effectively in difficult situations
Using metrics to develop presentations for use by senior principals
Using global procedures in execution and management of the Annual Health Check
Interacting and promoting detailed training status reports to IPT/COE management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)
Developing training and curricula for new products
Ability to work objectively and as a member or a team
Guiding discussions with site and bargaining unit management
Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities
Preferred
Working or directly promoting multiple operational areas
Coordinating and executing training activities and programs
Educating for new software platform implementation (i.e. training others how to use SAP, Delta V, or other technical or process controlling software)
Demonstrated success in collaborating across areas
Working in an all-encompassing environment
Strong coaching, developing, and motivational skills
M.S./M.A. degree (Adult Education, Human Resource Development, Organizational Development, Education or equivalent with a focus on Instructional Design and/or Facilitation)
